A BIT ABOUT US

Our History

We started Senior Concierge Living and Advisors, because our team came a background of just that - working in Home Care, Senior Living, Concierge Businesses we saw the need.   

Ali O'Brien founded Senior Concierge Living because she saw the need for the services in community: limited options for older adults choosing to remain in their homes. And the overwhelming process when it comes time when you can not stay home any longer.   Motivated by the experiences of her own parents and their friends, she left her retail career and went into Homecare.

With Senior Concierge Living, we are closing these gaps by offering a helping hand, focused on customized caring solutions for older adults and on peace of mind and quality time for their families. We know there is a lot going  - families have to juggle school schedules, sports and careers - we feel guilty because someone we love needs a little help and we can't take care of them.  We get it.  We have been there!  Each one of our team members understands, and has probably at one point of their lives been in your shoes.

SENIOR LIVING ADVISOR

When the time comes and you or a loved one can no longer live at home.  We can help you with that process.  We will research the communities that will meet your needs, meet with the communities, vet them, and when they meet the criteria, we will set the appointments for you to tour the community.  Once you choose the community of your choice, we will help with the paperwork, help with the transition from your current home to your new home. 


There is no cost to you - we work with the communities on that part.


When matching a loved one to an assisted living community, there are many factors to be considered, such as location, cost, current and future care requirements, and amenities.


This can be a very overwhelming time, and we can provide all of this, as well as more community-specific information in minutes.

We gather this information from each of the many assisted living communities in their preferred geographic area, in which it  would take you days of phone calls and meetings. 


By doing so, you are no longer subject to the countless sales pitches in which it would still be difficult to get the information they need.

In addition to the obvious information a family would want, we  also have access to information about which you might not necessarily think to inquire about.


Information, such as pricing variables, annual increases, occupancy rates, number of residents, resident to staff ratios, proximity to hospitals, family reviews, and resident complaints.


Furthermore, we can save families money by helping them to understand how to negotiate with the assisted living residence and making sure your loved one is getting the proper level of care.


Before deciding on a community, most families will take a tour of the residence.


Tours are necessary, but vastly time-consuming, difficult, and emotionally challenging. Working us might decrease the number of tours that are needed from 5 to 6 to just 1 or 2.


In addition, we provide scheduling assistance in arranging tours.
